To say that every city has certain characteristics that make it unique is almost a truism, but it is true. Of course, in some cases these aspects are more striking than in others. In fact, sometimes it is not even necessary to enter the town to notice them. In the following lines we show you the main skyscrapers in Benidorm, undoubtedly the most emblematic buildings in the area.
Which are thee most emblematic skyscrapers in Benidorm?
The skyscrapers of Benidorm are the first thing you see when you arrive in the city of Alicante. They attract a lot of attention and the image is similar to that of some big cities. These buildings have become a hallmark of the capital of tourism and in the following lines we would like you to get to know the most emblematic ones.
Intempo building
This is undoubtedly one of the buildings with the most personality, not only in the city, but also in the whole of Europe. It is also one of the tallest residential buildings on the entire continent.
It is located on Avenida Colombia, is 192 metres high and has 47 floors. It is divided into two identical towers, standing parallel to each other, with an inverted cone with an elliptical base connecting the two buildings. In this part of the building there are two luxury penthouses with incredible views.
Bali building
Until the construction of the Intempo Building, the Bali was undoubtedly the most representative building in the city and also the tallest, at 186 metres high. In fact, at the time it was also the tallest building in Europe. It has 52 floors and has been featured in several films.
Lúgano tower skyscraper
In third place in terms of height is the Lugano Tower, with a height of 158 metres. While the previous buildings were located in the Levante Beach area, this one is located just on the other side of the city, in the Rincón de Loix.
It is the tallest residential building in Spain, second only to the Intempo. As it is situated at a certain height, it has incredible views. It is a relatively recent construction, having been completed in 2008. It has 43 floors and different communal areas: swimming pool, garden, social club, children’s area, paddle tennis court and gymnasium.
Neguri Gane
This is another of Benidorm’s most important buildings, but it also has a futuristic design with a cylindrical base. It is inspired by the Neguri neighbourhood of Guecho, a town near Bilbao. It is 145 metres high and has 43 floors. A curious fact is that on the 26th floor there is a swimming pool.
It is worth mentioning that it was once the tallest skyscraper in Benidorm, a title it lost a few months later to the Bali.
Kronos building
This building is located next to the Neguri Gane and is one of the first buildings you see when you enter Benidorm. It is 145 metres high and has 41 floors. In addition, in the common areas you can also enjoy its swimming pools, gardens, spa or gym.
Don Jorge skyscraper
Also located in the Rincón de Loix, this modern building is 124 metres high and has 36 floors. The roof of its penthouse has an undulating shape, for some people similar to a wave and for others similar to the virgulilla of the letter Ñ. It has incredible views of the Levante beach.
Mirador del Mediterráneo
The Mirador del Mediterráneo building, together with the Lugano Tower and the Don Jorge Tower, form what are known as the three Top Towers. It is also one of the points of tourist interest and is located near the viewpoint of the Cross of Benidorm.
Despite its proximity to the old part of the city, it has a markedly modern style. It has 35 floors over a height of 123 metres. As you would expect, you can enjoy incredible views of the area from the flats. It has two general towers that are joined from the foundations to the seventh floor. From there, they are linked by different metal walkways.
